Bakalářská práce se zabývá literárním zpracováním motivu Neznámé ze Seiny, a to v dílech světové překladové a české literatuře v průběhu 20. století. Nejdříve pojednává o základních aspektech legendy Neznámé, kterých je různými způsoby využíváno autory v rámci individuálních interpretací. Z důvodu příslušnosti Neznámé ze Seiny k tzv. motivu utonulé krásky, práce obsahuje rozbor literární postavy Ofélie Shakespearova dramatu Hamlet, která je nejznámějším zástupcem téhož motivu a předobrazem postavy Neznámé. Dále je součástí práce kapitola věnující se světové literatuře, která byly dosud vydány pouze cizojazyčně. Cílem práce je prostřednictvím analýzy vybraných literárních děl, v nichž se motiv Neznámé nachází a které jsou náplní praktické části práce, charakterizovat jakými způsoby je motiv v literatuře zobrazován.This bachelor thesis deals with literary interpretations of the motif of the Unknown of the Seine in world literature translated into the Czech language and Czech literature in the 20th century. The introduction focuses on the essential aspects of the legend of the Unknown of the Seine which are part of the individual interpretations of the motif as well. As the Unknown belongs to the well-known literary motif of a beautiful drowned girl, this thesis includes an analysis of the literary figure Ophelia from Shakespeare's Hamlet, who is the best-known representative of this motif and archetype of the Unknown figure. The next part of the thesis is a chapter about important world literature pieces which contains this motif, but has not been translated to the Czech language so far. The aim of this thesis is to describe the individual forms of how the motif is being used through an analysis of chosen literary works, which are part of the practical part of this thesis.
