Předkládaná práce je zaměřena na možnosti hodnocení rovnováhy u geriatrické populace v klinických podmínkách. Obecná část práce zabývající se problematikou geriatrického pacienta obsahuje popis jeho jednotlivých specifik, definici stařecké křehkosti a výčet faktorů, které mohou hrát významnou roli při vzniku pádu. Součástí obecné části je i kapitola, která shrnuje poznatky o instabilitě a definuje jednotlivé typy pádů. Samotným možnostem hodnocení rovnováhy je věnována speciální část. Ta obsahuje vybrané klinické testy, které hodnotí úroveň rovnováhy, a tím i riziko vzniku pádu a taktéž míru strachu z pádu. U jednotlivých testů je popsána jejich administrace a způsob výsledného zhodnocení. Součástí bakalářské práce jsou dvě kazuistiky geriatrických pacientů zaměřené na testování rovnováhy.The submitted thesis focuses on the possibilities of balance assessment in the geriatric population in clinical conditions. The general part of the thesis, which deals with the issue of a geriatric patient, includes a description of the individual specifics characterizing such a patient, as well as a definition of frailty and an enumeration of factors which can play an important part in causing a fall. The general part also includes a chapter which summarizes our knowledge of instability and defines individual types of falls. The actual possibilities of balance assessment are the subject of a special part of the thesis. This special part includes selected clinical tests which assess the level of balance and thus also the risk and fear of falling. The individual tests are provided with a description of their administration and method of final assessment. The Bachelor's thesis includes two case studies of geriatric patients focused on balance testing.
