Práce nabízí přehled o možnostech využití aplikace ortéz na dolních končetinách u dětí s dětskou mozkovou obrnou (DMO) a hodnotí efektivitu jejich působení v rámci Evidence Based Medicine (EBM). Je zaměřena hlavně na typ Ankle-foot orthosis (AFO). Úvod práce je věnován problematice DMO, její patogenezi, diagnostice, možnostem rehabilitace a problematice nohou u dětí s DMO. Speciální část práce se věnuje přehledu jednotlivých typů nejčastěji používaných ortéz, principům jejich působení, výhodám, nevýhodám, indikacím a kontraindikacím. Na základě rešerše odborných článků je zhodnocena jejich efektivnost v rámci EBM. Klinická část obsahuje kazuistiky pacientů s DMO, které jsou zaměřeny na aplikaci ortéz a jejich účinku na celkový funkční stav.This paper provides an overview of possible applications of lower limb orthoses in children with cerebral palsy (CP) and evaluates their efficacy from the Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) perspective, while focusing mainly on the ankle-foot orthosis (AFO). The introduction of the paper covers the topic of cerebral palsy, its pathogenesis, diagnostics, possible rehabilitation therapies and problems related to lower limbs in children with CP. A separate part of the paper offers an overview of the individual types of the most commonly used orthoses, and explains the principles of their effects, advantages, disadvantages, indications and contraindications. Their efficacy from the EBM perspective is evaluated based on the search review of research and academic articles. The clinical research part of the paper contains CP patients' case studies focused on the application of orthoses and their impact on the overall functional condition.
