L´obiettivo della presente tesi consiste nelle proposte per la traduzione dei vari tipi del gerundio italiano. La tesi inizia con il primo capitolo che é la parte teorica e che presenta vari usi del gerundio nella lingua italiana. Si concentra soprattutto sulle caratteristiche morfologiche e sintattiche del gerundio. Il secondo capitolo descrive, invece, l´uso e la formazione del gerundio nella lingua ceca e fa vedere alcuni contrasti fra i due gerundi. La terza parte é pratica e si occupa delle traduzioni dei concreti esempi delle frasi in cui si trova il gerundio. Questi esempi sono presi dai diversi giornali italiani che sono stati pubblicati su Internet.The goal of this thesis consists in making suggestions for translation of various types of Italian gerund. The thesis begins with the first chapter, which represents the theoretical part and presents different usage of gerund in Italian language. It focuses primarily on the morphological and syntactic characteristics of gerund. The second chapter, on the contrary, describes usage and formation of gerund in Czech language and shows some differences between these two gerunds. The third part is practical and concerned with translations of concrete examples of sentences in which gerund occurs. These examples are borrowed from Italian newspapers, which were published on the Internet.
