Práce se zabývá specifikami zobrazení ženských a mužských hrdinů u konkrétního typu detektivních literárních textů jednoho autora. Jejím hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem dochází k zobrazování ženských a mužských hrdinů v díle Stiega Larssona. Za tímto účelem byla analyzována tři literární díla Muži, kteří nenávidí ženy; Dívka, která si hrála s ohněm; Dívka, která kopla do vosího hnízda. Práce je rozdělena do teoretické, metodologické a analytické části. V teoretické části práce je prostor věnován vymezení základních pojmů a konceptů, ze kterých je ve výzkumu vycházeno. Jsou jimi otázky zabývající se literaturou, genderem, mechanismy fungování literatury jako specifického média sloužící k přenosu kulturních hodnot společnosti. Na tuto část navazuje část metodologická, ve které jsou popsány metody práce i metodika výzkumu. V analytické části jsou prostřednictvím sémiotické analýzy analyzována vybraná literární díla Stiega Larssona. Následně jsou výsledky analýzy porovnány. V závěru práce jsou posléze představeny výsledky analýzy i srovnání a další možnosti výzkumu tohoto tématu.This thesis deals with specifics of depiction of female and male heroes in particular type of crime fiction texts of one author. The main target was to find out the way how female and male heroes in the work of Stieg Larsson are depicted. Three literary works The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets' Nest were used for this purpose. This thesis / dissertation is divided into theoretical, methodological and analytical parts. In theoretical part specification of key terms and concepts the research is based on is done. These are questions concerning literature, gender, mechanisms of functioning of the literature as a specific media used for transmission of cultural values of the society. This part is followed by the methodological part, where used methods and methodology of the research are described. And in the analytical part chosen literary works by Stieg Larsson are analysed by the use of semiotic analysis. Afterwards the results of this analysis are compared. Results of analysis, their comparison and other research possibilities of this topic are introduced at the end of this thesis.
