Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu konstrukce femininity v šesti vybraných snímcích Woodyho Allena. Práce na základě použití kvalitativní diskurzivní metody J. P. Geeho analyzuje ženské hrdinky a vývoj konstrukce jejich charakterů na plátně. Metodologicky práce vychází také z teorií feministických kritik Laury Mulvey a Judith Butler. Aspekty femininity jsou zkoumány se zřetelem na genderové a feministicko-kritické odkazy. Práce dále identifikuje a analyzuje prostředky, kterými jsou ve snímcích konstruovány genderové stereotypy a vymezené identity. Cílem práce je zjistit, jestli dochází v prezentaci stereotypních ženských rolí k vývoji a zda je obraz žen v podání Woodyho Allena omezující, nebo zvýhodňující. V neposlední řadě je zohledněn žánr tvorby Woodyho Allena, historický a kulturně-společenský kontext jeho tvorby, stejně jako kritika a vymezení jeho děl.This thesis focuses on an analysis of the construction of femininity and the image of heroine characters in three selected films of Woody Allen. The work analyses lead female characters, their construction and the development of these characters on screen through the use of J. P. Gee's qualitative discourse analysis method. The aspects of femininity within these films are examined with regard to gender and feminist-critical references. This dissertation later goes on to identify and analyse the various instruments which are used to construct gender stereotypes and defined identities. Methodologically this thesis draws from the theoretical feminist critiques of Laura Mulvey and Judith Butler. The aim of this thesis is to establish if there is any definable development in the presentation of stereotypical female roles and if the image of the heroines created by Woody Allen can be considered to be a restrictive one, or rather in favour of women. Finally, the genre of Allen's artistic works and the historic, cultural and social contexts of them is taken into account as well as other critiques and definitions of his work.
