Cílem bakalářské práce na téma "Příčiny syndromu karpálního tunelu a možnosti léčby v rámci rehabilitace a fyzioterapie" je zpracování problematiky syndromu karpálního tunelu, jako jednoho z nejčastějších úžinových syndromů horní končetiny, a to především z pohledu etiologie vzniku. K poškození nervi mediani dochází nejen v rámci všeobecně známých příčin jako je profesní zatížení, vlivem dlouhodobého používání vibračních nástrojů nebo traumat v oblasti zápěstí, ale i těch, o nichž se tuzemská literatura příliš nezmiňuje. Jde o metabolické poruchy (diabetes mellitus, hyperthyre?za, akromegalie) a jiné stavy ovlivňující hladiny hormonů. Náplní této rešeršní práce je i ucelený vhled na onemocnění z anatomického, funkčního a patofyziologického hlediska a možnosti diagnostiky, prevence i terapie s využitím poznatků z nejnovější dostupné literatury. Součástí bakalářské práce je kazuistika pacienta s touto diagnózou a metody konzervativní terapie využité k její léčbě.The purpose of the bachelor thesis with the title " The causes of carpal tunnel syndrome and treatment possibilities of rehabilitation and physiotherapy" is to compile the issue of the carpal tunnel syndrome, which is known to be one of the most common entrapment neuropathy of the upper extremity, expecially regarding its etiology. A well known, but not exclusive cause of this syndrom is overloading at work, using vibration devices or trauma in the wrist. There are many more reasons, which are not so alluded in domestic literature. In terms of metabolic diseases (diabetes mellitus, hyperthyreosis, acromegaly) and other conditions influencing hormon levels. This research thesis contains additional comprehensive insight into the disease from an anatomical, functional and pathophysiological aspect also the possibilities of diagnosis, prevention and therapy by using knowledge gained from the latest literature available. The bachelor thesis includes the case report from a patient with this diagnosis and the methods of conservative therapy used for its treatment.
