Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na komentovaný překlad odborné analýzy The neuroanatomy of bilingualism: how to turn a hazy view into the full picture kolektivu autorů, do něhož patří Lorna García-Pentón, Yuriem Fernández García, Brendan Costello, Jon Andoni Du?abeitia a Manuel Carreiras. Text práce se zabývá překladem odborného textu a stručně popisuje vybrané jevy, s kterými se překladatel takového typu textu obvykle setkává. Jelikož je překlad vždy ovlivněn i systémy výchozího a cílového jazyka, zmiňuje diplomová práce i relevantní obecné rozdíly mezi češtinou a angličtinou. Kromě samotného překladu, komentáře k překladu a výkladu k odbornému stylu a rozdílům mezi cílovým a výchozím jazykem zaměřeným na překládání, obohacuje tato diplomová práce českou základnu bilingvních (multilingvních) studií a nabízí přístup k nejnovějším poznatkům českým čtenářům.The diploma thesis is concerned with the annotated translation of the scientific text The neuroanatomy of bilingualism: how to turn a hazy view into the full picture written by Lorna García-Pentón, Yuriem Fernández García, Brendan Costello, Jon Andoni Du?abeitia a Manuel Carreiras. The thesis deals with the translation of scientific texts generally and shortly describes the problems related to translation of such text. It mentions selected differences between Czech and English language system as it is one of the crucial knowledge for translation. Apart from the translation itself, annotation, interpretation on scientific style and differences between source and target language focused on translation, this thesis contributes to the range of Czech bilingual (multilingual) studies and allows a Czech reader to access new information.
