Tato práce se zabývá aktuální situací soudního tlumočení v České a Jihoafrické republice a analýzou průběhu závěrečného jednání v procesu s Radovanem Krejčířem u soudu v Jihoafrické republice, respektive průběhu soudního tlumočení během tohoto jednání. V teoretické části jsou nejprve stručně popsána specifika soudního tlumočení a etika této profese. Dále se práce zabývá otázku role soudního tlumočníka a jeho postavením u soudu. V závěru se zaměřuje na rozdíly mezi Českou republikou a Jihoafrickou republikou, a to především v oblasti legislativy věnující se soudnímu tlumočení a v otázce aktuálních problémů soudního tlumočení v těchto zemích. V části praktické se jedná o případovou studii, kde bude podrobně popsán průběh výše zmíněného soudního jednání na základě veřejně dostupného videozáznamu, v práci samotné bude použit transkript. Práce se zaměří na účastníky soudního jednání, prostředí soudu, a především pak na projevy účastníků a tlumočený projev, který je analyzován pomocí porovnání výchozích promluv účastníků a následného tlumočení. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny výsledky této analýzy v porovnání s poznatky uvedenými v teoretické části.This thesis deals with the current situation of court interpreting in the Czech Republic and South Africa and analyses the final hearing in the case of Radovan Krejcir vs. South Africa, more precisely the court interpreting provided during this hearing. The theoretical part describes the characteristics of court interpreting and the codes of ethics used in this type of interpreting. In the next chapter, the thesis discusses the issue of the role of the court interpreter and its specifics. The final chapters of this part focus on the differences between the Czech Republic and South Africa regarding the legal regulation of court interpreting and the issues the interpreters in these countries are currently dealing with. The analytical part, the case study, deals with the final hearing with Radovan Krejcir and starts with a description based on an audiovisual recording that is accessible online and a transcript of this hearing. The thesis focuses on the participants of this hearing, the environment and mainly the speech of these participants and the interpreting. The interpreting is analysed through a comparison between source utterances of the participants and target utterances of the court interpreter. The final part of this thesis compares the results of this analysis with the findings discussed in the theoretical part.
