Tato diplomová práce se primárně zabývá možností zavedení odvolatelnosti prezidenta České republiky lidovým hlasováním, jakožto alternativou řešení mezer v odpovědnosti za výkon některých pravomocí prezidenta republiky, které jsou v rozporu se zásadou republikanismu. Tyto mezery v odpovědnosti jsou zjišťovány prostřednictvím analýzy jednotlivých pravomocí prezidenta republiky. Práce se věnuje také právním úpravám odvolatelnosti prezidenta lidovým hlasováním v ústavách Slovenska, Rakouska, Rumunska a Islandu, jejichž analýza pomáhá autorovi práce vytvořit si představu o možné nejvhodnější podobě procedury odvolání prezidenta České republiky. Autor práce se rovněž zamýšlí nad změnami Ústavy České republiky, jež by bylo vhodné v souvislosti se zavedením odvolatelnosti prezidenta lidovým hlasováním učinit.This diploma thesis primarily deals with the possibility of implementation of the Czech President removability by a popular vote as an alternative solution to the existing loopholes in responsibility for the performance of some powers of the President of the Republic, which are in contradiction with the principles of republicanism. These loopholes in responsibility were determined by analysis of individual powers of the President of the Republic. The thesis also deals with the legislations of the removability of the President by the popular vote in constitutions of Slovakia, Austria, Romania and Iceland, which were analysed to help the author of the thesis to create a conception of the most convenient form of recall procedure of the Czech President. The author of the thesis is also considering appropriate changes in the Constitution of the Czech Republic in the context of the implementation of the removability of the President by the popular vote.
