Syndróm demencie sa dostáva do popredia záujmu verejnosti. Prehľadová bakalárska práca predkladá informácie o symptómoch demencie so zameraním na agitovanosť a agresiu v ich manažmente. Práca sa zaoberá problematikou nefarmakologických metód u agitovaných a agresívnych pacientov so syndrómom demencie. Zhrňuje aktuálne publikované poznatky o príčinách vzniku a možnostiach prevencie vzniku agitovanosti a agresie u pacientov s demenciou. Predkladá poznatky o intervenciách, ktoré sú efektívne a neefektívne v manažmente agitovanosti a agresie u pacientov s demenciou. Informácie boli vyhľadané v databázach Proquest, PubMed, Google scholar a Medvik a informácie boli čerpané z recenzovaných periodik, napríklad: Aging & Mental Health, Dementia and Geriatric Cognitive Disorders, International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, International Psychogeriatrics, Association, The Lancet a ďalších.Dementia syndrome gets to the foreground of public interest. The bachelor thesis reviews information of the symptoms of dementia with a focus on agitation and aggression and their management. This thesis deals with non-pharmacological methods within an agitated and aggressive patients with dementia syndrome. It summarizes current published findings of the causes and options of prevention of agitation and aggression in patients with dementia. It submits evidence about interventions that are effective and ineffective in the management of agitation and aggression in patients with dementia. Information was retrieved from ProQuest, PubMed, Google Scholar and Medvik and information was drawn from peer-reviewed journals, for example: Aging & Mental Health, Dementia and Geriatric Cognitive Disorders, International Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry, International Psychogeriatrics, The Lancet and others.
