Lidská ruka je nezbytným nástrojem pro smyslové vnímání, práci a komunikaci s okolím. Cílem této studie bylo zjistit, jestli má skeletální poranění v oblasti ruky vliv na schopnost provádět běžné denní aktivity. Hodnocen byl rozdíl v aktivním rozsahu pohybů v zápěstí, síle stisku a výsledcích Jebsen Taylor hand function testu mezi skupinou pacientů a kontrolní skupinou zdravých jedinců. Výsledky ukázaly signifikantní rozdíl v aktivním rozsahu pohybu, ve smyslu jeho snížení u skupiny pacientů, statisticky významnou změnu síly stisku, ve smyslu jejího snížení u skupiny pacientů a signifikantní rozdíl ve všech subtestech Jebsen Taylor hand function testu, ve smyslu potřeby delšího času pro provedení jednotlivých subtestů u skupiny pacientů. Na základě výsledků této studie a dostupných informací z jiných experimentů je zřejmé, že skeletální poranění v oblasti ruky mají vliv na provádění běžných denních činností.The human hand is an essential tool for sensory perception, work and communication with others. The aim of this study was to find out if skeletal injuries of the hand have an effect on the ability to do common everyday activities. The active range of movements of the wrist, grip strength and results of the Jebsen Taylor hand function test were all tested among a group of patients and a group of healthy individuals. The results showed a significant difference in the active range of movements, in the sense that the group of patients had a lower range, a statistically significant lower grip strength in the case of the patients, and a significant difference in all the subtests of the Jebsen Taylor hand function tests, in the sense that the group of patients needed a longer period of time to do the various parts of the subtests. On the basis of the results of this study and the available information from other experiments, it is evident that the skeletal injuries of the hand do have an effect on carrying out common everyday activities.
