V úvodní kapitole teoretické části je charakterizován a definován pojem pozornost. V následujících kapitolách seznamuje s příčinami, příznaky, historií a diagnostikou ADHD/ADD a popisuje fenomén dospělosti se všemi jeho nároky na každého jedince. V závěru se teoretická část zaměřuje na současné formy léčby ADHD/ADD. Praktická část nabízí náhled do životů třech mužů a jedné ženy s diagnostikovanou poruchou pozornosti v dospělosti (ADHD/ADD) z jejich úhlu pohledu. Část je zpracována metodou narativního interview. Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, zda určení diagnózy v dospělosti u těchto čtyř respondentů, má vliv na změnu vnímání sebe samého a zda může samotná diagnóza působit jako léčba.The introduction to the theoretical part characterises and defines the term Attention. The next chapters introduce the causes, symptoms, history and diagnostics of Attention Deficit Disorders ADHD/ADD. They also describe the phenomenon of adults with ADHD/ADD and the demands that places on each individual. The conclusion of the theoretical part highlights contemporary forms of ADHD/ADD therapy. The practical part offers a look at the lives of three men and one woman, diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADHD/ADD), from their points of view. This part was done using the narrative interview method. The aim of the Dissertation is to find out if the determination of the diagnosis in adulthood, in the case of these four respondents, can influence a change in their perception of themselves and if the diagnosis itself can function as a therapy
