Diplomová práce "Fantasy v díle J. R. R. Tolkiena a Christophera Paoliniho" pojednává o dvou významných autorech fantasy literatuře. Ve stručnosti je v práci nastíněna definice žánru, dělení fantasy literatury a její základní motivy. Hlavní část práce je zaměřena na životy autorů a analýzu a interpretaci vybraných aspektů v jejich díle. Mezi zvolená témata k analýze a interpretaci patří ústřední charaktery knih, odraz žen v díle, environmentalismus, zobrazení zla a filmové adaptace.This thesis "Fantasy in J. R. R. Tolkien and Christopher Paolini" deals with two significant authors of fantasy literature. Briefly the thesis outlines the definition of style, dividing fantasy literature and its basic themes. The main part is focused on the lives of the authors and the analysis and the interpretation of selected aspects in their work. There are main characters of books, women in author's work, environmentalism, view of evil and film adaptations among the topics selected for the analysis and the interpretation.
