Tato práce pojednává o vrozeném šedém zákalu neboli kataraktě, jeho možných příčinách a typických formách. Jsou zde zmíněny anatomie a embryologie čočky a základní pojmy z genetiky. Hlavní část se zabývá léčbou katarakty, zejména chirurgickou, možnými komplikacemi a pooperační péčí včetně korekce zbytkové refrakční vady a zrakovou rehabilitací. V závěru jsou uvedeny dvě kazuistiky pacientů s kongenitáolní kataraktou.This thesis focuses on congenital cataract, its main causes and possible forms. It mentions bacis genetic terms and anatomy and embryology of the lens. The main part describes management of the cataract, especially surgical treatment with its possible complications and post-operative care including the management of the residual refractive error and visual rehabilitation. In the end there are two case reports of patients with congenital cataract.
