Táto práca sa zaoberá fikčným svetom diela Hon na ovcu od H. Murakamiho. Úvodom je popísané sociálne pozadie doby, v ktorom bolo dielo napísané, a na ktoré dielo odkazuje. Práca sa ďalej zaoberá tým, aký jazyk autor používa k vytvoreniu požadovanej atmosféry. Je tiež analyzovaná aletická modalita diela a zmeny fokalizácie, ktoré sa v diele nachádzajú. Obsahom práce je aj posúdenie príslušnosti diela k žánrom magického realizmu, detektívneho románu a žánru mukógawa. Časť práce je venovaná spôsobu, akým Murakami pomenúva svoje postavy. Na záver sa práca snaží dielo zaradiť do kontextu umeleckej a triviálnej literatúry.This thesis is concerned with the fictional world of A Wild Sheep Chase by H. Murakami. In the beginning, the social background of the age in which the book was written and to which it refers is being described. Thesis is further concerned with the manner, in which the author is using the language to build the intended atmosphere. After that, the alethic modality and the changes of focalization are being analysed. Thesis also includes examination of affiliation of the book to the genres of magical realism, detective novel and the genre of mukogawa. A part of the thesis is also devoted to the manner, in which Murakami is naming his characters. Lastly, the thesis attempts to position the book into the context of high and low culture in literature.
