Předmětem práce je srovnávací analýza celovečerního filmu From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) a první řady seriálu From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (2014). Cílem je postihnout vazbu mezi původní filmovou verzí a její televizní adaptací z hlediska filmové, respektive televizní formy. Zohledněna je úroveň narativní struktury, práce s postavami, styl a žánrového rámování. Z metodologického hlediska autor práce vychází z autoritativních publikací týkajících se filmové a televizní formy a narativních mechanismů (Bordwell, Thompson, Butler, Allrath a Gymnich), zohledněna je také metodologie a terminologie z oblasti adaptačních mechanismů (McFarlane).The subject of this thesis is a comparative analysis of the feature film From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) and the first season of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (2014). The aim is to describe the link between the original film version and its TV adaptation in terms of film and television form. Take into account the level of narrative structure, work with characters, style and genre framing with methodological standpoint, the author of the work comes from authoritative publications on film and television forms and narrative mechanisms (Bordwell, Thompson, Butler, Allrath and Gymnich), take into account also the methodology and terminology in the field of adaptive mechanisms.
