Práce se zabývá kvalitou života seniorů s totální endoprotézou kyčelního kloubu z důvodu artrózy. Hlavním cílem práce bylo zjistit úroveň kvality života seniorů s TEP a výsledky porovnat se seniory s artrózou kyčelního kloubu bez chirurgického řešení. Data byla získávána pomocí standardizovaného dotazníku SF-36. Byla provedena analýza získaných dat a prosté porovnání odpovědí. Úroveň kvality života byla zkoumána pomocí indexů kvality života a stanovených hypotéz. Indexy kvality života ukázaly, že úroveň kvality života seniorů s TEP je vyšší ve všech sledovaných oblastech - Fyzické zdraví, Omezení fyzického zdraví, Bolest, Vitalita, Všeobecné vnímání zdraví a Duševní oblast. Veškeré výsledky našeho výzkumného souboru vypovídají ve prospěch seniorů s TEP. Na základě stanovených hypotéz bylo zjištěno, že senioři s TEP, oproti seniorům s artrózou, udávají menší intenzitu bolestí, nejsou tak omezováni ve fyzické aktivitě a vykonávání práce, mnohem optimističtěji hodnotí svůj zdravotní stav a neočekávají tak často, že se jejich zdraví zhorší. Jedna z hypotéz potvrdila, že senioři s TEP v našem souboru jsou šťastnější oproti seniorům s artrózou. Vzhledem k vysokým počtům prováděných aloplastik kyčelních kloubů a zvyšujícího se počtu reoperací v seniorském věku, jsou výsledky, kterých bylo dosaženo v našem souboru velmi povzbudivé, protože TEP snižuje bolest a naopak zvyšuje pohyblivost a tím pomáhá zvyšovat kvalitu života seniorů, v porovnání se skupinou seniorů, kteří výkon nepodstoupili.The work deals with the quality of life of seniors with total hip replacement due to arthritis. The main objective was to determine the quality of life of elderly people with TEP and compare the results with the elderly with osteoarthritis of the hip joint without surgical solutions. Data was collected by means of a standardized questionnaire SF-36. Analysis of the collected data was conducted and a simple comparison of responses. The level of quality of life was assessed using indices of quality of life and set hypotheses. The quality of life index showed that the quality of life of elderly people with TEP is higher in all the areas - physical health, physical health limitation, pain, vitality, general health perceptions and the mental area. All the results of our research group speak in favor of seniors with TEP. On the basis of the hypotheses it was found that seniors with TEP, compared to seniors with arthritis, indicate lower intensity of pain, are not so limited in physical activity and performing work, much more optimistically assess their health status and do not expect so often that their health will deteriorate. One hypothesis confirmed that the TEP seniors in our group are happier compared to seniors with arthritis. Due to the high number of performed arthroplasty of the hip joints and the increasing number of reoperations in old age, the results that have been attained in our group are very encouraging because endoprosthesis reduces pain and in turn, increases flexibility and helps to improve the quality of life of seniors, compared to a group of seniors who have not undergone the operation.
