Cílem diplomové práce je charakterizovat stav nacionalismu a dezintegračních tendencí v Evropě ve 21. století. První kapitola se zabývá teorií nacionalismu a problematikou národa. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na nacionalistické tendence v 19. a 20. století. Třetí kapitola sleduje vývoj separatistických snah ve Skotsku, Severním Irsku, Katalánsku, Baskicku a v Belgii. Čtvrtá kapitola mapuje současný vývoj na těchto územích a metodou komparace srovnává dezintegrační a nacionalistické tendence. Poslední kapitola nabízí pedagogickou aplikaci tohoto tématu formou vzorové vyučovací hodiny.The aim of the diploma thesis is to characterize the condition of nationalism and disintegration tendencies in Europe in the 21st century. The first chapter addresses the theory of nationalism and national problems. The second chapter is focused on nationalistic tendencies in the 19th and 20th century. The third chapter follows the development of separatist attempts in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Catalonia, Basque Country and Belgium. The fourth chapter presents current development in these areas and compares the disintegration and nationalistic tendencies. The last chapter provides a pedagogical application of this topic in the form of a model lesson.
