Tato práce se zaměřuje na vztah matky a dospělé dcery, zkoumá jej z pohledu matky v období pozdní dospělosti a stáří. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na specifika vztahu dospělých dětí a jejich matek. Poukazuji na pozitivní i negativní aspekty tohoto vztahu, i na komunikaci mezi matkou a dospělou dcerou. Výzkumná část je součástí širšího výzkumného záměru, který mapuje vztah matky a dcery u různých věkových skupin, z různých úhlů pohledu. Výzkumný problém této práce se zaměřuje na prožívání vztahu z pohledu matky ve starší dospělosti a stáří a je pokračovací studií bakalářské diplomové práce. Kvalitativní studie mapuje obecnou charakteristiku vztahu, pozitivní a negativní prvky, které matky ve vztahu vnímají. Výzkumný soubor zahrnoval 43 participantek, vybrané nenáhodnými metodami výběru. Data byla získána dotazníkem tvořeným otevřenými otázkami šířeným přes internet. K analýze byla použita obsahová analýza textu. Výsledky výzkumu potvrzují výsledky bakalářské diplomové práce. Matky v tomto věku vztah vnímají již jako stabilizovaný, zvýrazňují pozitivní aspekty nad negativními.The aim of the thesis is the relationship between mother and her adult daughter, focusing on the perspective of the mother in her late adulthood and old age. Theory is presenting the specifics of the relationship between adult children and their mothers. Both positive and negative aspects of this relationship as well as the communication between mother and adult daughter are discussed in the thesis. The research section is part of a greater project which is trying to describe the relationship between mother and daughter amongst various age groups and from different points of view. A research problem of this thesis is aimed at experiencing the relationship from mother's point of view in her late adulthood and old age. The study is follow up study of my bachelor's thesis. The qualitative study covers the general characteristics of the relationship, both positive and negative aspects of mothers perception of the relationship. The sample consisted of 43 participants selected by non-random selection methods. Data were obtained by questionnaires with open questions and distributed over the Internet. Data were analysed by textual analysis. The findings of the research are in accordance with the findings of the bachelor's thesis. Mothers in this age perceive the relationship as stabilised, highlighting the positive aspects over the negative ones.
