Cílem této diplomové práce bylo chronologicky zmapovat vznik a vývoj kinematografických institucí na území města Uherské Hradiště od roku 1897 do současnosti (2016) na pozadí obecného fungování kinematografie na území České republiky a v kontextu sociálního a kulturního vývoje Uherského Hradiště. Práce je založena na získávání informací pomocí heuristického výzkumu a komparativní analýzy a vycházejí z archivních materiálů, novinových článků a kronik města uložených ve fondech Státního okresního archivu v Uherském Hradišti a ve fondech Vědecké knihovny v Olomouci.The aim of this MA thesis is to describe the history and development of movie theatres in the town Uherské Hradiště since the beginning (in this case it is the year 1897) up to present (2016). The history of cinemas is reflected in the context of general history of Czechoslovak cinema, and social and cultural development of Uherské Hradiště. The results were achieved through heuristic research and comparative analysis; and are based on archive materials, newspaper articles, chronicles and annals of the town stored in the State District Archive in Uherské Hradiště and the Scientific Library in Olomouc.
