Ačkoliv Západní břeh a pásmo Gazy patří do jednoho státního útvaru, jsou geograficky i politicky rozdělené. Autor se zaměřuje na identifikaci těchto území a hledání rozdílných a společných znaků. V souvislosti s vnitropolitickými problémy Palestinské autonomie se práce zabývá i nekončícím izraelsko-palestinským konfliktem. Autor sleduje geografické, demografické, hospodářské a politické aspekty pásma Gazy a Západního břehu, které následně srovnává a vyvozuje z nich souvislosti. V závěru práce odhaduje možný budoucí vývoj.Although the West Bank and Gaza Strip belong to one state formation, they are geographically and politically separated. The author is focused on identification of these territories, searching for theirs differences and similarities. In terms of internal political problem of the Palestinian Autonomy, the thesis also deals with continuous Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The author follows geographical, demographic, economic and political aspects of the Gaza Strip and West Bank, which are further compared and relevant interconnections deducted. In the end of the thesis, possible future development is suggested.
