Práce se zabývá vztahem volné hry, hyperprotektivity a bezpečí u dětí. Výzkum se zaměřuje na souvislost věku a velikosti obce s frekvencí dětské hry venku, dále na rozdíly mezi věkovými skupinami a skupinami dle počtu obyvatel ve frekvenci dětské hry venku a rozdíly mezi dětmi hyperprotektivních a nehyperprotektivních rodičů z hlediska frekvence dětské hry venku. Výběrovým souborem bylo N=312 osob, metodou sběru dat dotazník (konstruovaná část a standardizovaná část). Výzkum prokázal souvislost věku i velikosti obce a frekvence dětské hry venku stejně jako rozdíly mezi věkovými skupinami a skupinami dle počtu obyvatel ve frekvenci dětské hry venku. Rozdíly mezi dětmi hyperprotektivních a nehyperprotektivních rodičů se neprokázaly. Výzkum rovněž popisuje druhy venkovní dětské hry, věty slýchané dětmi při hře venku a vevnitř a způsoby kontroly dětí rodiči při herní aktivitě. Výzkum ukázal znatelné změny ve frekvenci a charakteru dětské volné hry venku. Frekvence dětské volné hry venku s mladšími generacemi klesá, stejně tak klesá s větším počtem obyvatel obce, kde dítě žije. Charakter dětské hry se mění, ale tato změna není radikální.Thesis is concerned by relationship between free play, overprotection and safety by children. Research focuses on the relationship between age or town size and frequency of children's outside free play, also on differencies between age groups and town-size groups and frequency of children's outside free play and differencies between groups of children with or without overprotective parents and frequency of children's outside free play. Size of research sample is N=312 people. Data were collected by a questionnaire (self-constructed part and stardardized part). Research has shown the correlations between the age and the town size and the number of hours spent by outside free play. It has also shown differencies between the groups of age and town size. Differencies between children with or without overprotective parents were not found. Research also describes the types of free outside play, the sentences heard when playing outside or inside and the ways of monitoring children during play. Research has shown the significant changes in frequency and character of children's outside free play. Frequency of children's outside free play declines with younger generations and it also declines with the size of the town where the child lives. The character of outside free play is changing but this change is not a radical one yet.
