V této bakalářské práci se budu věnovat hudební scéně v sedmdesátých a osmdesátých letech minulého století na Karvinsku, a to konkrétně ve městech Karviná a Havířov. Na úvod ale bude zcela jistě nutné si objasnit, jaké politické poměry se v tehdejší ČSSR odehrávaly. Jak moc touto situací byli hudebníci ovlivněni a za jakých podmínek vůbec mohli vystupovat. Dále popíši historický vývoj v daném období na Ostravsku-Karvinsku, stručně i vývoj v jednotlivých výše zmíněných městech. Budu se snažit popsat hudební situaci v tomto regionu a také porovnat hudební scénu či hudební underground s tím pražským a zodpovědět například jednu z otázek, zda na Karvinsku vůbec mohla vzniknout kapela typu Plastic People of the Universe.The topic of my bachelor thesis concerns the 70's and 80's era music industry in the Karviná region, namely the cities of Karviná and Havířov. First however, I will explain the political scene in the now former ČSSR, how much it influenced the artists and the conditions they performed in. Subsequently I will describe the relevant historical development of the Karviná region as well as of the aforementioned cities. I will characterize the Karviná music scene and draw comparison with the Prague music scene and attempt to answer the question of whether such bands as Plastic People of the Universe would have been able to emerged there.
