Práce je věnována mužům působícím pro ně dle genderu atypickém oboru - v sociální práci. Teoretická část je složena ze tří hlavních kapitol, z Teorie genderu, Sociální práce a Osobnosti sociálního pracovníka. Empirickou část této práce tvoří kvalitativní rozhovory s respondenty, muži, jež aktivně působí v oblasti sociální práce. V rámci rozhovorů byla zkoumána zejména motivace dotazovaných postavit se genderovým stereotypům a jejich názory na genderovou diferenciaci v sociální práci. Výstupem práce je analyzování rozhovorů. Odpovědi byly kódovány pomocí metody zachycování vzorců ("gestaltu").The thesis focuses on men pursuing gender atypical careers in social work. The theoretical part comprises three main chapters covering gender theory, social work and the personality of a social worker. The empirical part of the thesis consists of qualitative interviews with respondents: men actively pursuing social work careers. The interviews explore the motivation of the the respondents to face gender stereotypes and their opinions on gender differentiation in social work. The interviews are analysed in the thesis and the answers are encoded using the pattern capturing method ("gestalt").
