Diplomová práce se zabývá komparací role ženy v křesťanství a islámu. Zjišťuje, zda má teoretický základ v Bibli a Koránu více rozdílných výkladů a jak se tyto rozdílné výklady promítají do náboženství v praxi. Srovnává pohledy náboženství na manželství, rozvod, polygamii či zahalování. Rozbor akademických a náboženských textů zaměřených na otázku postavení ženy a její role ve společnosti uceluje představu o rozdílnosti původních textů a jejich rozšíření v praxi po celém světě. Snahou práce je rozšířit znalost ženské otázky v náboženství a přiblížit záměr teoretického podkladu v Bibli a Koránu. Ne všechny náboženské praktiky opírající se o Korán a Bibli jsou v souladu s textem knih, případně s jejich nejrozšířenějším výkladem.This Master thesis focuses on the comparison of the woman's role between Christianity and Islam; using the Bible and the Quran as starting points based on their significance within each corresponding religion. The aim of this study is to identify the theoretical basis of such explanations. It shall examine how they are reflected in real life, through concepts such as marriage, divorce, polygamy and veiling. The analysis of the academic and religious texts focuses on the topic of the status of the woman and her role in the society. This is to provide an idea about the differences between what is written in the original texts and how it is being interpreted around the world. The purpose of the thesis is to broaden the knowledge about the role of women within religion using the Bible and the Quran. As a result, it is proved that not all the practical occurrences and practicing of the most important religions are consistent with their theoretical base and official explanations.
