Bakalářská práce se zabývá románem Karla Schulze Kámen a bolest. První kapitola nás seznamuje s vývojem historického románu v českých zemích. Představuje autory historického románu 1. pol. 20. stol., kteří usilovali o překonání historického románu Jiráskovského stylu. Mezi nejvýznamnější patřili Jaroslav Durych, Vladislav Vančura a Karel Schulz. Druhá kapitola představuje román Karla Schulze Kámen a bolest, jeho vnější a vnitřní výstavbu. Srovnává zobrazení vybrané historické události v odborné literatuře a v románu Kámen a bolest.This bachelor thesis deals with Karel Schulz´s novel Kámen a bolest. The first chapter deals with the development of the historical novel in the Czech Republic. It presents the authors of the first half of the 20th century who made efforts to overcome the historical novel of Jirásek´s style. The most significant authors were Jaroslav Durych, Vladislav Vančura and Karel Schulz. The second chapter presents Karel Schulz´s novel Kámen a bolest, its external and internal composition. It compares the depiction of the representative historical event in the reference book with the Karel Schulz´s novel.
