Cílem práce je analýza malých a středních podniků v ekonomice České republiky a posouzení jejich vlivu na zaměstnanost, s bližším zaměřením se na Moravskoslezský kraj. V první části práce jsou vymezeny teoretická východiska týkající se dané problematiky. Následuje kapitola týkající se nezaměstnanosti, jejích typů, ukazatelů a metodiky jejího měření. Následuje pojednání o administrativním členění České republiky, a to hlavně z pohledu krajů. Zde jsou uvedeny základní ekonomické ukazatele, se zaměřením na komparaci míry nezaměstnanosti v jednotlivých krajích. Další kapitola pojednává o Moravskoslezském kraji a jeho specifičnosti, která souvisí se zaměřením na těžký průmysl. Je zde nastíněn historický vývoj, ekonomická stránka a podpora malých a středních podniků v kraji. Následně je učiněna komparace míry nezaměstnanosti v Moravskoslezském kraji s republikovým průměrem.The aim this graduation thesis is an analysis of small and medium enterprises in the economy of the Czech Republic and evuluation of its impact on employment, with a closer focus on the Moravian-Silesian region. The first part defines the theoretical background of the issue. The following chapter defines unemployment, types of unemployment, indicators and methods of measurement. The following part deals with the administrative division of the Czech Republic, with the focus on the regions. Basic economic indicators are provided with the focus on the comparison of unemployment rates in individual regions. The following chapter discusses the Moravian-Silesian region and it´s specificity, which is associated with a focus on heavy industry. It also outlines the historical development, economic aspect and the support of SMEs in the region. Further on, a comparison of the unemployment rate in the Moravian-Silesian region with the national average is provided.
