Dvacáté století se stalo synonymem epochy nejhlubších sociálních střetů a nejhrůznějších válečných konfliktů, které kdy lidé rozpoutali téměř na všech světových kontinentech. Některé z nich dodnes přetrvávají v nedořešené, v latentní, "spící" formě. K těmto můžeme přiřadit politicko-geografické problémy Čečenska, které se v různých časových intervalech a v závislosti na měnící se vnitropolitické situaci Ruské federace, jejíž je tato malá severokavkazská země dosud součástí, i na globálně politické atmosféře ve světě, vynořují s cílem i nadějí upozornit na naléhavost jejich řešení. Tato práce se snaží na základě sociologické teorie konfliktu a historických a geografických reálií podat ucelený přehled příčin politicko-geografických problémů Čečenska, souvisejících s permanentním čečensko-ruským konfliktem. Zabývá se dosavadními více méně neúspěšnými strategiemi řešení tohoto konfliktu a v závěru předkládá možné strategické koncepce, které by mohly napomoci řešení tohoto vleklého sporu a nastartovaly změny pro další směřování a rozvoj této severokavkazské země.Twentieth century has become synonymous with the epoch of the deepest social conflicts and the most despicable of conflict that hen people started almost on all kontinents of the world. It also deals with the more or less unsuccessful strategies to solve this conflict and at the conclusion presents possible strategic concepts that might help to resolve this protracted dispute, and jump-start ganges for the future direction and development of this the north caucasian country.
