Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je prostřednictvím analýzy pořadu Inside Nature's Giants dokázat, zda v rámci subžánru wildlife dokumetnu dochází k jeho proměně za příčiny vnitřních i vnějších vlivů. Zvolenou metodou zkoumání je přístup Jasona Mittella jenž nahlíží na žánr, jako na kulturní kategorii a tvrdí, že žánry se proměňují vlivem kulturních, historických, technických a jiných tlaků. Vytvořením vlastní taxonomie jsou zde určeny kategorie současného subžánru wildlife dokumentu, jejich charakteristické rysy i obsahová forma. Hlavním bodem práce je anlýza pořadu Inside Nature's Giants. V rámci analýzy je porovnávána jeho formální výstavba s navrženými kategoriemi. Tato komparace potvrzuje, že pořad je žánrovým hybridem, který přejímá rozdílné prvky konkrétních kategorií sůbžánrů wildlife dokumentu i jiných žánrů a tvoří nový druh dokumentu vzniklý pod tlakem produkčních i diváckých požadavků. Současně se i pořad sám se může stát hybným činitelem pro vznik nových typů pořadů.The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to prove whether within sub log of wildlife document occurs to its transformation for the causes of internal and external influences by analysis of documentary Inside Nature's Giants. The chosen method of investigation is approach of Jason Mittell who sees the genre as a cultural category and claims that genres are changing due to cultural, historical, technical and other influences. By creating a custom taxonomy , there are determined categories of current subgenre of wildlife document, their characteristics features and content form.. Within the analysis of Inside Nature's Giants is compared its formal construction of the proposed categories. This comparison confirms that the document is a hybrid genre, which adopts different elements of specific categories of subgenres wildlife documentary and other genres and forms a new type of document created under pressure of production and spectators requirements. At the same time the show itself can become a driving force for the formation of new program types.
