Cílem mé práce se stala definice a identifikace základních aspektů kulturálních studií jako je problematika intertextuality, identity, genderu apod., a to v souvislosti a ve vztahu k fikčním světům Haruki Murakamiho. Práce se postupně věnuje teoretickému vymezení klíčových koncepcí jako postmoderna, fikční světy, magický realismus a další, čímž vytvořím potřebné základy pro následnou "praktickou" část diplomové práce. V té přistoupím k samotné analýze Murakamiho díla, jeho kulturních dopadů a přesahů a především identifikaci Murakamiho vlivu na problematiku genderu či identity a jejich zasazení do postmoderního paradigmatu.The goal of this thesis is the definition and identification of the essential aspects of cultural studies as the issue of intertextuality, identity, gender, etc., in context and in relation to the fictional worlds of Haruki Murakami. Thesis gradually deals with theoretical definitions of key concepts, such as postmodernism, fictional worlds, magical realism and others, to create the necessary foundation for the subsequent "practical" part of this thesis. Second part of this thesis focuses on the actual analysis of Murakami works, its cultural impact, and especially the identification of Murakami influence on issues of gender and identity, and their insertion into the postmodern paradigm.
