Bakalářská práce pojednává o třech operách Giuseppe Verdiho vzniklých podle her Williama Shakespeara, Macbethovi, Othellovi a Falstaffovi, a o jejich uvádění v Olomouci. Jednotlivé kapitoly se zabývají vztahem Verdiho k Shakespearovi, libretistou Arrige Boitem a zmíněnými operami, u kterých sledujeme jejich vznik, jejich srovnání s dramatickou předlohou a především jejich inscenace v Moravském divadle v Olomouci.This bachelor thesis writes about three operas of Giuseppe Verdi based on William Shakespear's plays, Macbeth, Othello, and Falstaff, and about their presentation in Olomouc. Individual chapters deal with the relationship of Verdi towards Shakespear's work, libretist Arrigo Boito, and the operas mentioned above. This work studies their origin, the comparison of the operas with Shakespear's plays, and, most importantly, the theater production of these operas in the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc.
