Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na vnímání bezpečnosti obyvatel Olomouckého kraje. Popisuje historické souvislosti mající vliv na vývoj bezpečnosti, bezpečnostní strategii České republiky, policii České republiky s konkrétním zaměřením na policii Olomouckého kraje, bezpečnostní hrozby a kriminalitu. Cílem práce je v teoretické části přiblížit pojem bezpečnost, kdo se o bezpečnost stará v našem státě a na základě čeho stát jedná v době nějakého nebezpečí. Cílem části praktické je provedení analýzy vnímání bezpečnosti obyvatel Olomouckého kraje. Tedy jak se cítí ve svých městech a obcích, čím jsou ohroženi, kde se cítí nebo naopak necítí bezpečně, jak by přispěli k bezpečnosti.The diploma thesis focuses on public security perception in Olomouc region. It describes historical influences on the evolution of the security; response strategies; the Police of the Czech Republic, specifically the Police in the Olomouc region, threat assessment and criminality. The goal of the theoretical section is to thoroughly describe the term "security", with all the appropriate factors associated with the subject, such as which body of the country is responsible for the security in our country and on what basis the body responses in a case of threat. The goal of the practical section is to analyze public security perception in Olomouc region. Public security perception is described as responses of the residents on their feeling of security in their city, on the possible threats they might face, which parts of city are secure and which are not, or their contribution to the security in their cities.
