Předmětem zkoumání této práce je kultura čajoven a kaváren v Číně. Čajovny jako původní čínské podniky byly vždy pro Číňany centrum společenského života, důležitým místem pro uzavírání obchodů nebo pro řešení různých významných témat, zatímco kavárny v Číně vznikají až pod západním vlivem a jsou zde novou záležitostí. Ve své bakalářské práci srovnám veřejný prostor čajoven a kaváren v Číně a uvedu konkrétní příklady podniků ve městech Kunming a Chengdu.This bachelor thesis aims to describe the impact of globalisation on the social identity of Chinese people and the concluding impact on the culture of teahouses and coffeehouses in China. The main goal of the thesis is to make a comparison of the traditional culture of Chinese teahouses with the new coming trend of coffeehouses which is in China realized mainly by the big American chain stores such as Starbucks. For this purpose, the reader is firstly introduced to the importance of tea in Chinese culture in general. Then follows the description of the significiant change in the perception of teahouses in Republican era and its comparison to recent situation. Furthermore, I focused on the recent fenomena of Starbucks which cannot be ommited when discussing the problem which Chinese people nowadays have with their own identity. In the thesis are also included concrete examples based on recent reviews of one teahouse and one coffeehouse in China.
