This bachelor thesis deals with magnetoreception at animals: the animals' capability of perceiving the magnetic field of the Earth and react to it. The work pays attention to a structure, mechanism and the usage of the magnetic field. Considering that there is a magnetic field everywhere, animals can draw information about direction or their own location by various ways. The use of magnetic pole is different for varied species of animals. Some species use it to survive, the other ones react to magnetic pole spontaneously. The following diploma thesis will be about spontaneous behaviour of animals and it will be focused on preference to geographic direction during incubation of birds.
