Bakalářská práce přibližuje vybrané kulturní a politické aspekty násilí na ženách v Barmě. Rozebírá prvky těchto aspektů, jež mohou dle dostupné literatury ovlivňovat výskyt problematiky v zemi. V rámci kulturních aspektů se text zaměřuje na historické souvislosti a charakter barmské společnosti, dále také na náboženství a problematiku etnik. Z politických aspektů se práce soustředí na vliv vojenského režimu Barmy, jenž je dáván do souvislosti s násilím především kvůli výskytu znásilňování místních žen barmskými vojáky. Dále je rozebrána současná právní úprava související s problematikou a zmíněny jsou také mezinárodní úmluvy, k nimž se země zavázala. Poslední část práce se věnuje projektům, skrze něž se místní organizace snaží potlačit vliv některých z vybraných kulturních a politických aspektů.This bachelor study focuses on chosen cultural and political aspects of violence against women in Burma. This study analyses specific elements of chosen aspects which can influence the occurrence of this issue according to available resources. Historical connections and the character of Burmese society as well as religion and ethnic problems are described within the scope of cultural aspects. On the other hand there are specific political aspects in this text, which are centred on the influence of military regime of Burma. That influence is highlighted mainly because of many incidents of women's rapes by army soldiers. Present Burmese legal regulations and its international conventions connected with violence against women are also described in this chapter. Last part of thesis introduce some projects through which local organizations tries to eliminate negative influence of several cultural and political aspects on violence issue.
