Bakalářská práce se zabývá motivickou analýzou tří různých filmů - britského režiséra Steva McQueena 12 let v řetězech (2013) a amerických tvůrců Stevena Spielberga Lincoln (2012) a Quentina Tarantina Nespoutaný Django (2012). Každý s těchto tvůrců přistupuje k tématům otroctví a k němu úzce se vztahujícímu násilí odlišným způsobem. V jednotlivých snímcích je stanovena dominanta, jejíž význam se vztahuje ke skutečnému světu na základě kulturně-společenského kontextu. Kromě motivu otroctví jsou v této práci kategorizovány a interpretačně hodnoceny i další motivy, které se můžou, ale nemusí k dominantě vázat. Analýzy také ukazují, s jakými motivacemi režiséři tyto motivy do svých filmů zakomponovali, což také ovlivnilo prezentaci samotného otroctví. Významy dominant se také podílí na rozdílném uměleckém záměru, přičemž cílem bakalářské práce je tyto odlišnosti popsat.This bachelor thesis deals with a motivic analysis of three different films a British director Steve McQueen's 12 Years a Slave (2013) and American authors Steven Spielberg's Lincoln (2012) and Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained (2012). Each of these directors approaches the theme of slavery and closely related violence differently. A dominant from each film is defined with its meaning referring to the real world on the basis of a sociocultural context. Besides the theme of slavery, other themes are categorized and interpretively evaluated which can, but do not have to, be connected to a dominant. The analyses present the motivations used by directors and the affect they had on the representation of slavery. The goal of the bachelor thesis is a description of the differences between artistic intents arising from the meanings of dominants.
