Cílem této diplomové práce je pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu lépe porozumět motivaci ke studiu a jeho vnímání u dospělých studentů magisterského stupně kombinovaného studia. Aby bylo možné tohoto cíle dosáhnout, jsou nejprve předloženy teoretické koncepty dnešní společnosti a poté je vymezen vztah, jaký má ke znalostem a vědění. Z výsledků provedeného kvalitativního šetření se konstituovaly dvě základní oblasti motivace. Tou první je oblast práce, tou druhou je oblast vztahů. Zjištěné motivace jsou průběžně propojovány s teoretickými koncepcemi, a proto je můžeme chápat komplexněji jednak v kontextu společnosti znalostí, tak i z pohledu respondentů.The aim of this Diploma Thesis is to understand better the motivation why to study and what adult students think about the master degree of the combine studies. This can be achieved with the help of qualitative research. In order to reach this aim at first, the theoretic concepts of contemporary society are presented, and then relation of different aspects of knowledge is defined. From the results of the carried out qualitative research two basic fields of motivation were established. The first one is the field of work, the other in the field of relations. Uncovered motivations are continuously connected with theoretic conceptions, therefore they can be understood more comprehensively both in the context of the society of knowledge and from the viewpoint of the respondents.
