The Czechoslovak media in period from Jan Palach's self-immolation are analysed with the use of the critical discourse analysis and framing. Short introduction into the Prague Spring, Invasion of the Warsaw Pact army and following period of normalizaton is given. The content of the media in January 1969 is introduced and analysed. The analysis of Czechoslovak television and following printed media is given: Rude Pravo, Prace, Mlada Fronta, Svobodne Slovo and Lidova Demokracie.
