Práce se zabývá analýzou románů Roberta Bolaňa Vzdálená hvězda (Estrella distante) a Chilské nokturno (Nocturno de Chile) z hlediska zobrazení chilské diktatury druhé poloviny dvacátého století. Práce popisuje nejprve žánr románů, poté analyzuje postoj protagonistů a vypravěčů k násilí diktatury a věnuje se vztahu mezi chilskou literární scénou a politikou. Poslední kapitola přináší srovnání rozdílů a podobností obou románů.The work is focused on the analysis of the novels Estrella distante and Nocturno de Chile of Roberto Bola?o in the aspect of the image of the military dictatorship in Chile from the seventies to the nineties. At the beginning, the work characterizes the genre of two novels. Two chapters analyse the attitude of the protagonists and of the narrators to the dictatorial violence and is attended to a relationship between the Chilean literary scene and the politics. The last chapter offers the comparison of the differences and the similarities of both novels.
