Práce si klade za cíl odhalit motivace, myšlenková východiska a ideologické nástroje, jež stály za vznikem unikátního politicko-ekonomického systému, který existoval od první poloviny sedmnáctého století do druhé poloviny století osmnáctého v oblasti Guayrá, na hranicích dnešní Paraguaye, Brasilie a Argentiny. Důraz je kladen na konflikt dvou kultur (katolické španělské a autochtonní guaraníjské), na jejich vzájemné ovlivnění a částečné splynutí ve společenské realitě redukcí. Pozornost je též věnována ilustraci dobového myšlení, okolnostem vzniku jesuitského řádu, jeho ideovým kořenům i misijní činnosti, a také konceptům vlastním kultuře Guaraní.The goal of the thesis to discover motivations, thought basis and ideological tools that created the unique political and economic system which existed since the first half of the seventeenth till the second half of the eighteenth century in region of Guyrá, at the frontier of present-day Paraguay, Brazil and Argentina. The conflict of two cultures (the Spanish Catholic one and the native Guaraní one) is emphasized, as well as their mutual influencing and partial blending in the social reality of the reductions. Attention is also paid to the illustration of the period thinking, conditions of the origin of the Jesuit order, its ideological roots and its missionary activity, and also to the concepts own to the Guaraní culture.
