Tato práce se zabývá první vlnou emancipace, která vyústila v boj o volební právo žen. Diplomová práce se zabývá procesem uvědomování si ženské role jak ve společnosti, tak i možností seberealizace v politickém prostředí. Předmětem porovnávání jsou dvě země, a to Nizozemí a Československo.In my thesis I was focused on the women's suffrage, i.e. the implementation of the women's suffrage in Czechoslovakia and the Netherlands. First of all I had to describe the historical background and the circumstances which led to the women's emancipation. In this charter is described the sequence of historical events dated from the French Revolution, which was the impulse of the realizing of the women's power. There is also explained the term feminism. Further there was essential to specificate the position of the woman in the czech and dutch society. Here was also necessary to name several leaders who were one of the first Czech and Dutch feminists. The main topic of my thesis, the women's suffrage, is in the fifth chapter. I split this chapter into two parts. In each one of those two parts I am describing the implementation of the women's suffrage in these two lands separately. I made a conclusion of all the resume facts and I sketched a review of differences and a possible explaining. There are five chapters in total.
