Bakalářská práce se zabývá ukrajinským politickým systémem v letech 2004 až 2014. Důraz byl kladen především na Ukrajinu za vlády Viktora Janukovyče. Cílem práce je pokusit se analyzovat ukrajinský politický systém na základě teorie hybridních režimů Stevena Levitského a Lucana Waye a následně zjistit, zdali lze považovat ukrajinský režim ve zkoumaném období za soutěživý autoritarismus. Steven Levitsky a Lucan Way jsou autory tohoto konceptu. Hybridní režimy vznikly po studené válce. Jejich myšlenky jsou tak pro klasifikaci nedemokratických režimů naprosto klíčové. Nicméně málokterý autor se zabýval otázkou, zdali lze považovat ukrajinský režim, kterému vládl Viktor Janukovyč, za soutěživý autoritarismus. Tato práce představuje autoritářské režimy, režimy hybridní a koncepty nejdůležitějších autorů. Závěrem práce je, že uvedený režim můžeme klasifikovat jako soutěživý autoritarismus. Zjištěné poznatky potvrzují charakteristiku typickou pro soutěživé autoritarismy. Již režim před rokem 2004 byl považován odborníky za hybridní režim. Po oranžové revoluci se země demokratizovala. Vítězství V. Janukovyče v prezidentských volbách 2010 ovšem tuto demokratizaci ukončilo. Janukovyčův režim tak můžeme klasifikovat jako soutěživý autoritarismus.The bachelor thesis deals with the Ukrainian political system in years 20042014. The stress was placed on the Yanukovych´s period. The main goal of the bachelor thesis is try to analyze Ukrainian political system by theory of hybrid regimes from Steven Levitsky and Lucan Way.and then discover if we can consider Ukrainian regime as competitive authoritarianism in this period. Steven Levitsky and Lucan Way developed the concept of competitive authoritarianism. Competitive authoritarian regimes proliferated after the Cold War. Their ideas are absolutely crucial for the classification of undemocratic regimes. However, almost never was occupied by following question. Can we mark Ukrainian regime under the rule of Viktor Yanukovych as competitive regime? The bachelor thesis introduces authoritarian regimes, hybrid regimes and another concepts of the most important scholars. The bachelor thesis concludes that mentioned regime can be classify as competitive authoritarian regime. Ukrainian Case is scored as competitive authoritarianism, because the criteria were met. The regime was considered as hybrid regime by scholars before 2004. The 2004 Orange Revolution brought democratization. In 2010, Yanukovych won in presidential elections, so democratization failed. In summary, we can classify Yanukovych's regime as competitive authoritarianism.
