Vztahy mezi Spojenými státy, Evropskou unií a Ruskem formují pohled na mezinárodní vztahy a dění v Evropě i na celém světě. O to důležitější jsou v ohledu k politickému vývoji v posledních dvou letech. Cílem této práce však není analyzovat aktuální politickou situaci, ale zmapovat vývoj při formování těchto vztahů v letech 1995-2005. Práce určuje klíčové vojensko-politické události v tomto období a pomocí nich analyzuje podobu a vývoj vztahů Ruska a obou aktérů, které dále synchronně komparuje. Ve třetí části práce dále dochází k analýze ruské ekonomické politiky a vzájemných ekonomických vztahů Ruska s Evropskou unií a Spojenými státy. V závěru práce jsou poté zodpovězeny tři výzkumné otázky a ukazuje se, že vzájemné vztahy Evropské unie a Ruska byly intenzivní i před rozšířením Evropské unie v roce 2004, že politické události sice ovlivňují ekonomické vztahy, ale nejsou nejvýznamnějším faktorem pro jejich změnu, a že politika Evropské unie a Spojených států se výrazně odlišuje spíše při konkrétních událostech. Politiky obou států vůči Rusku se začínají výrazně odlišovat až po roce 2000.International relations between the United States of America, the European Union and the Russian Federation influence events and development in Europe and in the entire world. These are even more important regarding the political context of the last two years in Europe. The goal of this thesis is not to analyze current political situation, but to map the context and evolution during the creation of these relations in the years 1995-2005. Author of the thesis identifies key military-political moments in this period and uses them to analyze the shape and evolution of the relations between the Russian Federation and the other two political actors then synchchronically compares them. In the third part of the thesis author analyzes russian economy policy and russian foreign relations with the United States and the European union. There are three research questions answered in the conclusion of the thesis. It was proved that international relations of the European union and the Russian federation were intensive even before the 2004 enlargement, that political relations influence the economic ones to an important extent, but are not crucial in forming those relations and that the international policy of the European union and the United states is different mostly regarding specific military-political events. The policies begin to be noticeably different as a whole from the the year 2000 and onwards
