Cílem této bakalářské práce je provést analýzu překladu vlastních jmen románu Hobit do českého a španělského jazyka. Teoretická část se zabývá teorií literárního překladu a specifickými situacemi jako je překlad vlastních jmen a pohádek. V praktické části je vypracována analýza překladu bionym s ohledem na původ jmen a postupy aplikované překladateli.The aim of this thesis is to analyse the translation of proper names of the novel The Hobbit to Czech and Spanish. The theoretical part is dedicated to the theory of literary translation and to specific situations such as the translation of proper names and fairytales. The practical part constitutes of the analysis of the translation of bionyms with respect to the etymology of the names and to the techniques applied by the translators.
