Předkládaná práce reaguje na současný trend zapojení kulturní tematiky do filmu. Usiluji o pluralitní přístup kombinující filmově analytické nástroje s analytickými přístupy disability studies. Cílem práce je analyzovat filmy Le Huitiéme Jour (Osmý den, 1996), Yo También (Já taky, 2009) a Detektiv Downs (Detektiv Down, 2013), kde v hlavních rolích figurují herci s Downovým syndromem. A to za pomocí teoretických východisek, která lze uplatnit v kinematografii s ohledem na dekonstrukci sociálně konstruované diference mentální jinakosti. V rámci analyzovaných filmů a v souvislosti s rozvojem oboru disability studies lze pozorovat určitý posun a cílenou práci s narativními postupy, jež napomáhají k depatologizaci "zdravotního postižení"/ne-způsobilosti. A to zejména v záměrné manipulaci s binární opozicí dis/able v kontextu dekonstrukce. Příběhy se snaží postavit hrdinu s mentální jinakostí do dominantní pozice. V rámci narativu je také viditelná snaha pokusit se narušit ideologii normativního řádu. Tedy posunout hranice normy a zavdávat tak divákovi k otázce, co je "normální" a co je "deviantní". Příběhy se také cíleně snaží potlačovat některé stereotypy, zejména pak stereotyp o sexualitě a partnerství osob s mentální jinakostí.The present work responds to the current trend involving cultural themes in the movie. I strive for a pluralistic approach combining cinema - analytical tools and analytical approaches of disability studies. The aim of this work is to analyze the films Le Huitiéme Jour (The Eight Day, 1996), Yo También (Me Too, 2009) and Detektiv Downs (Detective Downs, 2013), where figuring actors with Down syndrome in the main roles.
