Cílem této práce je nahlédnout do problematiky určitého integrálu a jeho aplikací. Práce se zabývá historií integrálu, neurčitým integrálem a primitivní funkcí, určitým integrálem a jeho aplikacemi. Nezbytnou součástí práce je sbírka řešených i neřešených příkladů.The goal of this work is to deal with the problematic of definite integral and its applications. The thesis is focused on the integral´s history, indefinite integral and primitive function, definite integral and its applications. A collection of both solved and unsolved mathematical problems is included.
