Magisterská diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou změn Evropské rady v kontextu Lisabonské smlouvy a současné ekonomické krize. Tyto změny jsou zařazeny do širšího rámce vývoje této instituce, kdy je kladen důraz taktéž na úlohu principu mezivládního rozhodování na nejvyšší politické úrovni v průběhu evropského integračního procesu. Vlivem toho může být následně určena potenciální míra diskontinuity ve vývoji Evropské rady, která je těmito změnami zapříčiněná. Cílem je tudíž také snaha určit, jak ekonomická krize posunula úlohu Evropské rady a pravidla nastavená Lisabonskou smlouvu.The Master thesis deals with the analysis of changes in the European Council in the context of the Lisbon Treaty and the current economic crisis. These changes are put in the broader context of development of the European Council, where the emphasis is also on the role of the principle of intergovernmental decision-making at the highest political level during the european integration process. This allows to determine the potential level of discontinuity caused by these changes. The aim is therefore to attempt to determine how the economic crisis has shifted the role and the rules of European Council set by the Lisbon Treaty.
