Tato diplomová práce se zabývá československými emigranty, kteří opustili svou rodnou zem v období Pražského jara a jejich novým domovem se stalo Nizozemsko. Práce je rozdělena do deseti kapitol, které obsahují jak teoretickou, tak praktickou část. První kapitoly zachycují politickou situaci v Československu během období Pražského jara. Další kapitoly přinášejí pohled a vlastní názor významných Čechů a Nizozemců k této události, jenž citelně zasáhla československý, potažmo český stát. Další část práce popisuje vztahy dvou zemí-České republiky a Nizozemska od roku 1968 až 1989. Teoretická čast objasňuje proces emigrace a integrace do nového prostředí, rovněž tak je rozsáhlá část věnována fenoménu identity a různým teoriím identity. Druhá část práce vychází z vlastní výzkumné části zaměřené na československé emigranty z období Pražského jara žijící v Nizozemsku. Pomocí kvalitativní metody narativních rozhovorů sleduje proces transformace kulturní identity emigrantů této generace, stejně jako proces integrace do nizozemské společnosti. Práce zkoumá faktory a motivace, které vedly k emigraci, usazení se v nové zemi a následné vztahy k vlasti, k Československu.This thesis deals with Czechoslovak emigrants who left their Czechoslovak homeland during the Prague Spring and became their new home in the Netherlands. The thesis is divided into ten chapters including theoretical as well and practical issues. The first chapters deal with the political situation in Czechoslovakia during the Prague Spring. The other chapters bring own views, opinions and experience of the eminent Czechs and Dutchmen to this event. It had a really hard impact on Czechoslovakia (since 1993 the Czech Republic). The next part of the masterthesis describes the relations of the two countries - the Czech Republic and the Netherlands since 1968 till 1989. The theoretical part explains the process of emigration and integration into a new environment. A large section is devoted to the phenomenon of identity and the various theories of identity. The second part is based on own research. This concerns the section focusing on the Czechoslovak emigrants from the Prague Spring living in the Netherlands. For this part, a qualitative method of narrative interviews has been used. It follows the process of transformation of the cultural identity of emigrants since the Prague Spring, as well as the process of integration into the Dutch society.
