Tématem této bakalářské práce je osobnost regentky Cixi (1835 - 1908), jež náležela k mandžuské dynastii Qing a měla ke konci 19. století v Číně velký vliv. Práce mapuje její osobní život a politickou kariéru a představuje různý pohled na události během jejího života. Práce se zabývá porovnáním vybraného pramene a ostatní literaturou zvolenou pro kompilaci této práce a analyzuje, v čem se tyto údaje o regentce rozcházejí a v čem se naopak shodují. Význam vlády regentky Cixi a její role v čínské historii jsou na základě zjištěných informací shrnuty v závěru práce.My bachelor?s thesis is concerned with regent Cixi (1835 ? 1908), who was one of the rulers of Manchu dynasty and had a wide influence in the last years of the 19th century in China. This thesis consists of three main parts. In the first part, there is a brief introduction about history of the dynasty and social and economic issues in the 19th century, her personal life and her admission to the Imperial Court. This part of thesis is divided to three period of her life and focus on her rule and historical events in which she was involved during these years. Second part concentrates on other unfounded information and events during her life, about which authors of books frequently write about. The last part consists of opinion on her in a history and literature and summarizes the topic.
